“The artist, who struggles to adapt to the contemporary, and in order to overcome the feeling of being trapped or entrapment resorts to hedonism, personifies the self as a caged individual exhausted from addictions.  The display, which exudes both within and outside of the bars, points the possible limits of audience’s layers of logic.

İtmeç cancels the space with an installation and cover the display area with a metal construction of the same size. The audience can neither enter the space nor is there an area with which to investigate the works that fall outside the bars.

The personality, which wants to expand as a cage, wants to create a mystical iconography with arabesque references, tribal patterns and consumer goods symbols. Its boundaries are the space itself.”
